Small but nice, great food and very friendly service

Delicious food and a large selection of drinks are available. Unfortunately the bread dumpling with liver sausage was over, but the goulash was also very good! The dumplings were delicious and the staff friendly. I can recommend it!

A very nice evening with friends. We have been guests at the Kartoffelhaus several times and no matter whether it was very full, the service is awesome 👍. Always friendly and nimble so that the glasses never stayed empty for long and there was a brisk saying for free 😂. The food was very tasty as always. Personally, I would be happy to have more potato specialties, e.g. B. Potato pancakes etc. But in spite of everything, if you want to spend a nice evening you are in the right place in the potato house. Kudos to the entire workforce keep it up. 😁

I really liked the ambience and the food was delicious. It is definitely worth a visit. It is also advisable to make a reservation in advance, otherwise it will be difficult to get a table.

Despite the restaurant being full, we were asked to try it after 30 minutes and we were lucky. The dumplings with goulash and red cabbage were a dream. Very well coordinated and everything self-prepared (that's how it tasted) Very courteous service.

Super friendly staff, great economy comfortably furnished. I made a reservation in advance and everything worked out. Food super delicious.

We were at the potato house at the beginning of last week and we are absolutely thrilled! The service staff were charming and courteous and the food was fantastic. I ate the best dumplings in my life and the goulash was melt-in-the-mouth. From now on I'm a big fan of Thuringian cuisine and when I come back to Weimar, I'll try my way through the whole menu of the potato house! :)

Hello "Kartoffelhaus", my rating is late, but it comes! We were in the Kartoffelhaus on July 21, 2009. The beer garden was great, and the food was absolutely brilliant! 😋😋😋 Back then we stayed in the Hotel "Amalienhof" and were on short vacation in Weimar ... The service was very good and the food first class. No other restaurant I visited in Weimar could keep up with this pleasure. I'm looking forward to the next visit!

The food and the ambience are unbeatable. Cozy furnishings meet selected, very good Thuringian cuisine. The staff is attentive and very attentive. If you want good regional dishes of very good quality, you should reserve a place in the Kartoffelhaus.

Very cozy restaurant with a very nice host. The food was freshly prepared and was absolutely delicious. Price performance totally okay. Highly recommended. Even could bring our dog.

Were here for a family celebration. Very bizarre: with groups, you want to select the food from a reduced menu beforehand. We were 23 people and the place was very well visited for Saturday evening. I am of the opinion that a good kitchen should be able to do this spontaneously as a menu. The service was friendly, but rarely showed up. And the dishes were tasty, but priced quite high. The salad with turkey breast, which consisted almost entirely of green salads and sprouts, apart from a minimal amount of cucumber and tomatoes, and was not really big for a main course, cost € 12.90. The toilets are on the 1st floor, only accessible via stairs, so nothing for people with walking difficulties.

Very tasty food that we didn't have to wait long for. Service very friendly and attentive. Beer garden very nice. We'd love to come back.

Very nice restaurant with excellent cuisine and good drinks. When the weather is nice, you can sit comfortably in the beer garden. The staff is friendly and brisk, the prices are okay. Definitely go there!

Was a very nice visit. The food was very good. The waitress, a young woman, was very attentive and very nice. Is highly recommended and can praise everything. Price performance is right.

4 * are exactly on average and you can only agree. Delicious food, craft beer or otherwise. Portions pleasantly large, prices per main course from about 12 € upwards. There are quiet corners where you can talk well, it was pleasantly warm and we felt very comfortable. The service was not particularly inviting but not unfriendly ... We waited just over half an hour for our food. All in all a very pleasant visit.

I loved the place! Food was great, portions very generous (too large for myself and kids and even for my hubby - he said although managed it 😉 staff couldn't speak English but compensated very well with politeness and friendliness. Decor and music were definitely my cup of tea. Couldn't pay with a card and it was a bit pricey (hence 4 stars) but overall very happy with what we got :)
